Election survey results

Over 56% of the respondents told us that they may change their vote in the next federal election, with a further 21% already deciding to change to the other party in this election.The top issues identified overall were, in order of importance:

  1. health care;
  2. global warming;
  3. education;
  4. paid maternity leave; and
  5. pay equity.

The results varied for unemployed women, who identified the following priorities:

  1. health care;
  2. global warming;
  3. cost of living;
  4. women's rights; and
  5. refugees and asylum seekers.

The resuls were compiled into a brochure, and sent to all women politicians prior to the election. There were no responses to any of the questions asked.
