Women worries

While Jenni is moving house, I get to say a few words - and I am just wondering about whether it’s having a feminist perspective which makes me think that Julia Gillard is having subtle ‘woman based’ smears thrown at her? 

Comments about her clothes, the Women’s Weekly gig (Tony Abbott also had a spread  for it earlier which was not viewed as controversial), her lack of children and her unmarried status, though carefully couched as a ‘normal part of the political process’ make me question our true openness to unreservedly accepting a woman in this role.
