The statistics on domestic and family violence are shocking. Official reports show one in three women are physically assaulted in their lifetime and 42 per cent of homicides are a result of domestic and family violence.

Australia's paid parental leave scheme

At last! The government's paid parental leave scheme is now fully functioning. The scheme provides up to 18 weeks' funded parental leave pay for eligible parents born or adopted on or after 1 January 2011.
